PRIVACY
Trevor Davis & Associates Ltd is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website or via research or surveys, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
What we collect
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you so we can communicate. With your consent, we may collect the following information: name and job title contact information, including email address, telephone numbers and basic demographic information, such as an address.
We also receive personal information indirectly, in the following scenarios:
- when conducting contract research and surveys for 3rd parties (such as Universities) who are deciding how that personal data is processed; and
- through contact on social media.
What we do with the information we gather
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases for processing this information are:
- understanding your needs and to provide you with a better service;
- business record keeping and contact management, where we have a legitimate interest in doing so (e.g. invoicing); and
- for analysis purposes when conducting research and surveys for 3rd parties. If we have your permission, we may share this information with 3rd parties with whom we have a contractual obligation.
Contract research and surveys
In this context, Trevor Davis & Associates Ltd usually acts as a data processor for a 3rd party data controller (they have decided to collect personal data in the first place, decided the purpose or purposes the data are to be used for, etc). Our responsibilities typically cover:
- overseeing the logistics of data processing (e.g. loading the survey into SurveyMonkey or similar);
- determining how to store the collected information (e.g. databases);
- ensuring that the information is secure, and determining how to transfer personal data to the 3rd party; and
- ensuring that a retention schedule is adhered to.
Security and storage
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and business procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online (e.g. in password protected repositories).
We keep name, job title contact information (including email address, telephone numbers and basic demographic information, such as an address) for one year after last contact. We will then dispose of your information by appropriate secure deletion techniques where available (this may include shredding of printouts, or operating system specific secure remove commands).
